A Strange Day

Asami sat down quietly in the living room of the guild.... Two days ago she had watched a brutal battle between two very strong vampires... Katsu and Neikan, that was a really entertaining battle to watch... Hajime seemed to have set it up unintentionally letting it go to the point where he walked off leaving Neikan to his own devices... Afterwards a few hours had passed and Katsu returned long enough and he seemed.... Broken...

She hasn't seem him since and Hajime hasn't come by in a long time to see her and his friends.... She had occasionally seen Neikan around town while she was getting groceries and while she was on assignment but she had to wonder why he stayed so far away from her while they talked afterall she hasn't done anything to him.... She at this point was getting annoyed and lonely... "Damnit I am so boooorreddd!!!"

"You don't have to scream, I'm right here you know...my hearing is too acute for your damn screaming..." he said lowly as he leaned against the wall with his hands shoved in the pockets of his tight black leather jeans. He had broke Katsu here, beat him in a fight and ruined his spirit. That's all he could do...ruin...

Sighing, he looked away from her and looked at the opposite wall, sadness appearing in his gaze as he stared. He had ruined a man more times than one, ruined him because he was hungry...ruined him because he had no self-control at all. "Damn..."

She looked over and spotted him.... In the blink of an eye he had appeared.... Why? All of a sudden he shows up out of the blue while she was alone at the guild... If she didn't know he was homosexual she would say he is here to try something indecent... But she is painfully aware he is a man lover... "Where did you come from all of a sudden.... I admit it startled me..." She tilted her head and smiled she tended to be very kind but she had this.... Habit of being heartless... She had a tendency to lose herself in battle.... And in the bedroom... And any time she got mad or frustrated in any way...

"Oi... Why the long face did Haji-kun kick you in the balls again?"

Neikan kept his gaze fixated on the opposite wall, a look of complete and utter pain on his face. Self loathing, lack of any self-control, masochism of an extreme and terrifying caliber, sadism to nearly the same caliber..."Disgusting...I lack everything a true vampire should have...I lack even the most simplistic forms of self-control and instead I self-indulge until I can no longer stand...I lack all forms of reason and compassion...it's disgusting..." he said lowly, ignoring her question about where he came from for the moment. "I've ruined so many lives because of this disease...my desire, my lust to consume men as much as I can...to use them until I can't use them anymore...." he trailed off, not wanting to make himself sick because of his self-hate.

Looking at her with his mix-matched eyes, he finally answered her lowly, "I came from the same place all monsters come from...I came from hell....only to be placed back into hell..."

She looked at him a moment unsure of what to say at first.... He was pretty down it seemed but one thing was for sure he was not from hell if he was he wouldn't have done some of the things he did.... She giggled a minute she was being reminded of the way Hajime was when he first walked through the doors of this guild.... Sad and scared... All alone and pushing away anybody that tried to help him... Lastly he was blaming himself for the things that had happened in the past and the things happening now.... "I now understand why you and Hajime-kun get along so well your exactly alike only difference is he is a womanizer and your not... Well he isn't one anymore now that he is married but thats beside the point..."

She didn't mind Neikan and she didn't mind the fact he kept as far away as he could when they spoke she understood.... Everyone has their issues and his just happen to be with women.... Especially Miyuki it seemed he had a true distaste for her when she spotted Hajime, Miyuki and Neikan talking together a while back Neikan had this weird look in his eyes toward her... "By the way how do you know Hajime?... I started seeing you here about a month or two after he joined but never got around to asking..."

Neikan shot her a cold, hateful glare and turned his gaze back towards the wall. Just the smell of a woman was enough to make him sick, but looking at her for very long...it made his stomach turn. "I'm not like Haji...nor am I like anyone you've ever met...don't compare me when you don't even understand me..." he told her lowly, coldly.

"I met Haji a long time ago...many centuries ago. To be exact, it's been over six centuries now...I first met him as a halfling who was slowly dying...my brother and I- Aoi and I- saved him by granting him a full bloodline as a full vampire..shortly after, he vanished. Only when we were searching for his father did we find Haji. Out of luck, he hadn't been killed but frozen in a large glacier hidden in a cave where his father had been planing to do only the gods know what with him. After fighting and killing his father, we freed Haji and he's been a pain in the ass ever since..." he explained lowly, his gaze fixated on the wall. The story of how they met really wasn't that grand of one, no lovey-dovey shit that women always wanted...

"But...as much of a pain in the ass as he is...he's one of the only reasons I've remained sane as long as I have...if I were to no longer have anyone left, Haji included, I would most certainly lose what's left of my humanity and become nothing more than the monster my father intended me to be..."

She ignored the glare and cold comments.... She knew it was for the most part true... She looked at him and spoke softly... "First of all I never claimed to know you so well... That was more of a first examination if you will... The impression I get from you is a lot like Hajime though you may not realize it but thats simply my opinion..." She thought for a moment then laughed.... "Well I guess that's about right I wasn't expecting something all lovey-dovey I was more along the line of expecting him to point a gun at your head and telling you to get lost!...." She found it slightly amusing that it was much less violent than what she was expecting....

"I don't think you're a monster.... But as you said I do not fully know you but I can say one thing.... I have known Hajime a very long time not as long as you but still quite long and if it is one thing I can say it's that he still carries many burdens from the past on his shoulders.... You have that same look on your face right now that I often saw on his..." She smiled and yawned then popped her sore neck.... She looked at him again then wondered... "By the way... I don't want to step over my boundaries but from what I have seen you are not to keen about Hajimes marriage to Miyuki.... I saw you about a month later talking to them and you had this im gonna kill you look on your face... Worse than the look you give me.... Do you have something against her?"

"You won't hear me tell you much about who or what I am...I'm not into being vain enough to talk about myself..." he told her lowly, that same cold tone. "He did point a weapon at me when we first met, but it wasn't my face..." Memories and talking about himself weren't his strong suit. He wasn't fond of speaking of his own personal life, mainly because he loathed most of his personal life.

"I don't care if I have to carry a burden, burdens are meant to weigh you down, it's what keeps me from leaving the surface and fading into the black. However, curses...that's something that has given me a life of hell...hunger that constantly gnaws away at me, and the need to indulge surfaces every single time I find a man who catches my attention..." he explained lowly, coldly as if he were completely distant from his surroundings.

He moved his gaze to stare at her blankly with an emotionless expression before he answered her question lowly, "I hate anything that stands in my way of a meal..." It was a simple answer, a cold, chilling one too. He was a dark man, but he hid it, plastered behind a smile that no one ever knew if it was fake or real.

"In the way of a meal?... You... Mean Hajime?...." It didn't take her very long to figure out what it was that he meant.... "Well I give you that one he is an interesting catch for anyone..." It was kind of funny the situation those three were in was like the plot of a crappy sitcom.... He seemed to really be in distaste of her prescence so she assumed in a moment she should leave and give him the space he was desperately wishing for.... Why? Because eventhough he was nice to her... He hated her with a passion and she knew it....

"Well if anything I am happy for Hajime he finally found that happiness he longed for.... Of course we all do eventually it may take centuries but we do..." She was not often interested in love scenes well... Except her own of course but that was a different case... She looked at Neikan and then tilted her head and smiled.... "You know other than Hajime you remind me of one other person but that's a story for another time..." She walked past him and toward the stairs... "I'm going to take a shower Hajime and his kids are on their way here if you feel like hanging out.... Miyuki is gone on buisness today so he is coming here to chill today..." With that she walked upstairs....
