Let come what may

Tasia stretched in her chair. The air was warm with a slight breeze. Wonderfully comfortable with fabulous sun. She was on the roof of her apartment laying in a sun chair. She lay nude, just enjoying the sun, her more animalistic characteristics thanking her for allowing them to breath. She thought about her life so far. She had been going to school more often, meeting new people. Though the ones close to her. Hina, Camula, and of course Sora. They remained the ones who knew her best. She got up and walked down to her apartment shuffling around to find a dress and some flipflops. It seemed that was her signature. She never really liked wearing much clothing. Never know when the urge to shift may come in handy. She grabbed the cloth Camula gave her on their first meeting and looked at it longingly. She hadn't seen the vampiric queen in so long. Though truth be told, she wasn't sure how to get find the woman. Cam always found her. She tossed the cloth in a bag with a bottle of water and an apple and set out. She decided she needed some social contact in her life. Her sites were set on the warehouse where her beloved lived with his comrades. Though who knows what she could find along the way.

They made quiet the sight he had taken Misute out to get a few more books to read with Sarubia. They were walking back to the warehouses now where Sarubia was if they were lucky still going over things if not he'd be at a club. His skin was the pristine tone of snow, long dark crimson hair falling about his face and pale sky blue eyes. Long red lashes but it was the three small red stones below his left eye, the piercing at his lower lip. His ears pierced several times. Partially seen engraved into his left shoulder was the roman numeral 13. He wore a choker with two cords and a red shirt that was buttoned from the diaphragm down form fitting black jeans and boots. Finger-less gloves. Strapped around his right leg was the holster to Hades his heavy custom gun. At six foot one he was a foot taller then the one he was escorting leaving behind the idiots of guards who had lost him at least once....that he knew of. He glanced at the back of the head of the boy he was walking just in the shadow of.

His silvery hair was messy he wore a dark blue vest and his favorite brushed black leather jeans. Combat boots that went to his shins. His light burgundy choker with the white jade piece as always around his neck. The only markings on him that could be seen were the birthmark of a 'j' below his left eye with the dot to the left and two to the right. Burned into the side of his neck was the mark of the Feeder/Breeder...a mark that would never be allowed to be invoked....so Sarubia had told him. Pale crimson eyes focused on the road ahead of him as he clutched the books to his chest....they were...children's books no pictures but for learning readers. But to him it meant a lot because that was what he was. A new reader...math all of it he did have a new simple math work book among the books he was holding. But Sarubia would sit with him and work with him. He rounded the corner as the one with him told him to....only to collide with a girl in a sundress being a light weight he fell backwards before his taller companion could catch him and his books collided to the ground.

"Ouch..." he breathed then looked up his bangs fell over his right eye exposing his left as he looked at her she was wearing a sun dress and carrying a bag. "I'm....I'm sorry....are you alright?" He asked as looked to make sure he hadn't knocked her over.

The taller redhead shook his head and smiled. His brother was right....this little one was a gentle soul.

Tasia had stumbled but not fallen.  She was able to catch herself before falling to the ground.  She was a bit startled by the sudden collide though.  She hadn't expected many out this way.  She looked around before moving to her knees. She began helping him pick up his book. I am fine, sweety.  I am sorry, I should pay better attention where I am going.  I was trying to remember if I was going to the right way.  I guess I got caught up in looking at land markers. She rose to her feet to hand him his books brushing the dirt away from her dress at the same time. Then looking them both up and down. They seemed rather... Rocker-ish. Was that the term? She tucked a strand of Raven hair behind her ear before tugging at the burgundy wine colored frock that adorned her body, fitting enough to flow with her curves but still be considered "loose" on her.  She gave them both a soft smile making sure the smaller one didn't get too hurt, and offering her hand if he needed help up.

He timidly took back his books and paused when she held out her hand. The red head leaned down and spoke lowly in his ear and he blinked before reaching out and taking her hand and standing up. "I...I'm glad your not hurt." He said standing he'd feel bad if he hurt her.

"This little one is..." the red head prompted looking at him and he blinked and made an 'oh' face.

"I'm Misute-Rareta....and..." He paused looking up and the redhead nodded. "This is Kuri." He said looking back at her. He was learning all of this and Kuri felt that introducing himself learning how to interact outside of his 'safe' bubble was important as long as he was there or Saru more importantly right now. "It's....not your fault....I was in a hurry to see someone and wasn't paying attention to where I was going." He said shaking his head.

Kuri nodded as he looked at her. "You said you were trying to find something around here....My brother owns a multitude of warehouses in this area so I'm familiar with everything here.....what were you looking for?" He said looking at her. Kuri didn't make a big deal out of Misute falling down since he wasn't hurt. More startled at the sudden fall.

She looked around a little then gavea shy smile. I'm Tasia. And I um. I'm looking for a warehouse actually. I uh. My, my um, my boyfriend, he and his friends work around here, in a warehouse. I don't remember which one. Thats what I was trying to do. Its been a while since I've seen him. I miss him. She bit her lip looking around a bit worried as it had dawned on her just how long it had been since she'd seen him. She shifted a bit where she was standing and looked around again. The area was rather... scarce, when it came to people. She bit her lip again and watched the 2 infront of her.

Kuri looked at her. "Tasia? If you're the same girl.....you'd be looking for..." He said and looked at her carefully seeing the unique necklace the stone the color of her eyes......Kuri hand in pocket smiled. "Sora. Blue hair and eyes often dresses in white and is a large three headed crystalline winged tiger?" Kuri turned. "He told me about you a while back...I wasn't sure until you said your name and that necklace." He said nodding. "Sora is a friend of my family.....come on the closer we get to the docks he'll pick up your scent and come to meet us." He was sure she was still worried.

Misute looked up at him then at the docks. Blue hair and eyes..."Oh...Sorairo....Kuri isn't he the one who speaks sort in a low sad tone? The one who grabbed my wrist this morning when I nearly fell in the water?"

Kuri nodded. "The same. He's been dealing with a bit of chaos lately apparently the dock owners screwed up and sold his warehouse to someone else and they intend to kick him and his clan out of the warehouse so he's been trying to deal with that." Kuri shook his head. "Of course the point you heard Misute was when Saru scolded him for not coming to him with it or Aoi. Either one would be able to fix it. Since the warehouse is supposed to belong to the Royal Family a safehaven for the hybrids."

Misute nodded and looked up at him as Kuri looked at Tasia. Kuri nodded to her. "I can guide you to him since we're headed that way anyways Not sure if Saru is still there or not. Besides it'll do Misute some good to go see Sora again." Misute nodded.

Tasia smiled.  They knew of her love which means they must belong to her world.  She nodded at them. That would be wonderful. Thank you.  i wasn't sure if he would be around, or maybe working for Aoi.  I know he said that the sir had some things they needed to take care of.  But Sora aways spoke so fondly of his kin.  I thought perhaps I could make some new friends.  It would be better than sitting at home alone on a beautiful day like this.  She was blushing a bit that sora had been talking about her.  But happy non the less.  She looked at Misute and held out her hands. Would you like some help carrying your books?  They look kind of Heavy.

Misute blushed a bit as she asked if she could help him carry some of his books. He looked at the pile in his arms Kuri had offered to carry them but he had wanted to do it himself did they really look that heavy. He didn't glance back at him though to seek permission as that would just irritate Kuri with no doubt a 'you don't need my permission for this'. It wouldn't be that he was angry....he wanted Misute to realize it was alright to make his own choices. He did look at Tasia a bit timidly. "You don't mind really?" He asked softly as he looked at her. She seemed so happy that they knew Sora.

Kuri smiled. Misute was getting used to people and he nodded as he looked at Tasia. "I've known Sora for a long time." He smiled though nodding. "He's quiet fond of all of his kin. He is around Aoi is actually last I knew dealing with a few things around the castle and new arrivals as well as his husband I believe." He said but there was a fondness to his voice as he spoke of Aoi and his family there. "It is a good day to make new friends." he said and Misute blinked and looked at Kuri.

Friends.......Sarubia had said his name was his gift and that he'd define who he was by making a lot of friends.....Misute looked at Tasia..."Friends....is it alright if we become friends?" he asked softly.

Kuri blinked and smiled a bit he walked up and placed a gentle hand on Misute's head. "Misute....." He said then glanced at Tasia. "If you like Tasia I'm sure neither I or Misute would opposed to becoming friends with you." He said to ease Misute's concerns and perhaps hers as well.

Tasia smiled wide.  She had made 2 new friends already. What fun.  She took a couple of the books and was looking through them.  A couple she recognized from her own "homeschooling" experience.   these are some great texts.  They were very helpful when I was learning.  Are you doing schooling?  She motioned for Kuri to lead the way.  She was not in a hurry much.  It would be nice to get to know her new friends, but seeing her love also excited.

Kuri nodded as he stepped to the front leaving them to walk and talk, she was already making Misute feel more at ease and Kuri knew it. Misute tended to think he was doing horrible but he just started a few months ago learning and... Saru couldn't be happier with his progress even little by little if he was moving forward that was fine. Kuri lead the way walking towards the docks and the hybrids home.

"Yeah." Misute said nodding. "I think it was called home schooling...." He looked down at the books. "I just started....not that long ago....." He looked at Tasia who didn't make him feel awkward for the beginners books he actually felt more at ease and comfortable as she said they were helpful.

She smiled wide. I love learning.  If you want I could come over and help some.  I mean, I'm still in high school but they have this thing.. whats it called,... She furrowed her brow trying to remember the word she had seen on the sign all on the walls of the school.
She gave up and shook her head a little. Tuting or something like that.  Anyways the teacher said it was where students who are doing well in a subject help to aid their peers who aren't doing as good.  To show them different studying techniques and offer moral support.  That's something friends do right?  Be supportive?  Yea.  So what do you.. TUTORING! She remembered last second the right word she was looking for and kind of yelled it out then blushed rocking back on her feet. Sorry...  I remembered the word.  Its tutoring.. So what do you say, would you like that? She smiled hopefully.  Tutoring would give her an excuse to come out more often.

Kuri didn't yay or nay it. He knew Misute loved learning with Sarubia and while this wouldn't be taking away from it it may give him a different insight on how to learn something. He simply walked leading the way as Misute jumped slightly startled when she shouted like that.

"Oh...it's....alright." he said clutching his books as he looked at her and smiled when she said that. He paused as she said she was herself was in high school and that it was something called tutoring. They followed Kuri turning down a shadowed block Misute didn't think anything of it. But his hair went from silver to a shimmering lavender, his pale crimson eyes went silver an almond sliver for iris's. The 'j' disappearing and a jagged tear like marking going under his right eye. His nails went black he was so used to the way he changed in light or shadow....the only time it didn't happen was twilight when he was as he truly was supposed to be. But he listened to her and smiled a bit. "I'd like that but I'd have to check and make sure it's okay with Sarubia." He answered since Sarubia was teaching him. "But I don't know how to...."

"If Saru doesn't mind...it'll be easy to let her know. And have you two meet up. If not by cellphone then I'm certain Sora would be able to get a message to her easily and would love any reason to go see Tasia." Kuri finally spoke up. He knew why it was important for Misute to ask him. He wanted needed Sarubia's approval. For him, Sarubia who saved him from the darkness he didn't want to do anything to hurt him.

She watched them both as they spoke and nodded.  She didn't know who Saru was yet, maybe he was their keeper.  Like Claudia was her keeper.  She frowned a moment thinking of the only bright spot of her ... "childhood".  She then noticed the boy she had been walking beside change.  Sure she had seen people change before, but it still fascinated her.  Changing still took her so much concentration, and time.  The people around her seemed to do it so effortlessly.  She was staring, not being rude, or atleast not meaning to be rude, just intrigued at the way it just happened so naturally, as if flipping the page of a book or clicking a link on the computer.  Almost instantaneous.  She bit her lip a little and blushed when she realized she was staring and instead looked down at the ground as they walked.  Just being quiet at the time.

Misute blinked when he realized she had fallen so silent and regarded her quietly before looking down at his hand. Realizing he had changed but she blushed? Obviously she wasn't upset about it because she wasn't freaking out. But....."Saru is head of the family." He said and Kuri nodded that was the best way to put it. He looked at Tasia.

Kuri glanced back and chuckled. "That isn't a power of his." He said having seen her look so fascinated it was there silence that had him look back. He slowed a bit. "Misute has no control over that.....it has completely to do with the light and shadow around him. When the light shines on him he looks as you met him but when he steps into shadows or the dark he appears as you see him now. But if my understanding is correct neither is your complete appearance?"

Misute looked. "Yeah...." He said lightly. "I shimmer between these two all day and night except at the hours of Twilight.....only then does this stop and how I truly appear my.......the race I come from is typically only born during those hours." He said hesitantly. Then looked at Tasia..wondering if she was alright with it.

She listened to them about Saru and the changing. She nodded to them. She blushed a little deeper and bit her lip thinking a little about her words before speaking. I'm sorry. I um.. When I was little, I wasn't allowed around the other tes... um.. kids. I was raised around a lot of our superior race. And the um. What are they called... the um.. Humans. They didn't let me around anyone like myself. I just started learning to use and control my "powers" recently. Its a bit strange to see how people can do it so easily. Shift I mean. I didn't mean to stare. It's kind of neat, although I suppose that makes it rather hard to go out in the public when you do change so uncontrollably. She furrowed her nose feeling bad. Humans could be so rude sometimes. She looked back at Misute and smiled bright. Its a good thing we ran into each other then. Cause you are such an awesome person. I am glad we are friends.

Misute looked at her. "Please don't feel bad.....I'm not upset." he said looking at her and smiled gently. "Superior race?" He asked looking at her a curious confused tone as she called it that he hadn't heard that before. She sounded so nervous. "I'm still learning my own powers....there's much I can't control or don't know about them." He looked ahead and then at her again. "I don't let it stop me because it's a part of who I am....I'm happy to be able to make friends with you too...."

Kuri glanced back at the kids again as he walked they were fine and perhaps it made them both feel better to hear others like themselves.

"I....I don't mean to make you feel bad or uneasy about anything.....I'm....not used to interacting with anyone." He said looking down at the ground as he walked. Then reached up to touch the burned brand marking in the side of his neck. "At the three months old I was finally given a name....my mother was killed, I was branded beaten and a bag was thrown over my head.....when it was removed I was being thrown into a pitch black cell with no window....." Misute looked at her being honest as he looked down. "Until a month or so ago.....I...didn't have any interaction with anyone....Sarubia....rescued me from that." He looked at her she had indicated test and kinda the same thing. "I'm....new at making friends....but....I...I'm glad we're friends too."

Kuri looked back at them. It seemed they to be getting along.

She hung her head. "I was always taught that humans were superior and that things like me are meant to be nothing more than tools and servants.  I grew up in a lab. I don't know who my parents are.  I was there since a baby.  Dr. Bram always told me that my family didn't want me.  That they gave me up because I was unnatural and wrong and needed to be destroyed.  But that he was going to be so inclined as to make my pathetic existence worth something.  He wanted to study my power and see if they could be made useful to the number one race.  But since he didn't know what my powers were he couldn't help me learn to use them.  I knew how to shift.. into a cat.  but that was only because there was a cat on the compound I could immolate.  Claudia was my keeper.  She was a witch but no one knew except me.  She gave me my bag.  Its charmed to carry a lot of things. She was the only one nice to me.  She helped me escape. She gave a half smile at him as she thought of claudia. But now I am out and looking for friends and figuring out about myself.  

Misute looked at her as she said that, which meant she understood in her own way what he was going thru and he her.

"There not the superior race." Kuri spoke up looking back at her. "Throughout history they have sought to become more then what they are. They kill, maim and destroy so much around them. It pains Aoi terribly that they have a tendency to be so destructive." Kuri dropped back to walk with them and guide them as he walked with them. "There lives are as short as a candles flame compared to ours." He walked with them. "Even yours Tasia you'll find is far longer then a humans. They are far from superior and incredibly fragile. If you twitch wrong with them you can break and kill them. It is there fear of your gifts that make them want to press down on you." He walked. "Nor for that matter are Vampires or any other race the superior race. WE all have our strengths and weakness's. The greatest race out there is the dragons."

Misute looked at him. "So would they be...."

"No." Kuri said looking at him and smiled. "Not even the dragons are 'superior' We're all equal in our own ways, we're all faulted in our own ways. We all live and eventually even a vampire can die." He looked ahead. "Perhaps one of these days I'll introduce you to Zero Cross-Rei." He looked at the two of them. "If there is anyone in this world who can explain it better I'd be surprised." Kuri looked ahead down the road. "He'd tell you, as you are you are perfect because of your strengths and your faults. Because all of that makes you who you are."

Misute shook his head as he looked at Kuri. "But...." he paused though as he saw Sora....speaking with two other people One was wearing a white kimono and hakama a purple kimono underneath a transparent scarf over shimmering silvery white hair with natural pale pink and lavender accents. Small and petite the other was taller with stunning white hair and silver amethyst eyes dressed in a black vest and jeans with tears all throughout the leather pants boots and a chain wrapping around his neck going down to a ring in his belly button. A chained earring connecting to a piercing in his upper ear and lobe with chains hanging down and a mixture of crystals and skulls.

Sora looked over as they were close enough to hear them all and walked up to them with the other two. He walked up to Tasia and smiled. "Tasia, I'm sorry I've been absent so long. Is everything alright? Oh and let me introduce you.....this is...Kira my I suppose you could say father? And his brother Zero."

Kira smiled warmly at them nodding. "A pleasure to meet you. It's been a while Kuri."

Kuri nodded. "It has been a while Kira." He said and gestured. "This little one is Misute-Rareta, and Sora introduced you to Tasia."

Kira smiled. "Thank you for bringing them here safely Sora had asked me to come at Sarubia's urging."

"Yeah....pain in my ass....seriously." Zero looked at Kira. "I have a job to do you know."

Kira smiled and moved hugging his brothers arm. "Come now Zero....you'll frighten them they aren't used to you."

Tasia smiled at the others but her eyes came back to Sora. Everything is fine. I just wanted to see you, and meet your kin, maybe. Mostly I just wanted to get out of the house. I hope thats ok. She moved in and kissed his cheek before moving to stand beside him. She looked over at Kira and Zero. I have met Zero before.. Breifly. I happened upon him, and a few others in the park one night. He was with another.. I forget his name. He was rather rude and annoying. And he seemed to be baiting Sir Zero. I believe you and a Sir Hame I think, urged me to locate a coven or guild of some type.. She wasn't sure if she got the name right. It had been a while ago.

Kuri nodded as he looked at them.

"Baiting me there's only one asshole I know who would be constantly trying to bait me." he said snorting. "Red-head in a monks robe....Mujo So." He said but he was smiling as he said it. "And close although I like Hame.....Hajime." He nodded.

Sora shook his head. "Of course it's alright I"m sorry I haven't brought you here to meet them sooner." He said as he stayed next to her and looked at all of them. He leaned in and kissed her cheek. "You're welcome anytime Tasia never worry about that."

Kuri smiled as he looked at Tasia. "Tasia, if you have any questions I suppose the best to ask is Kira." He said looking at the petite vampire. "He's one of the Kings here."

Kira pouted. "Please don't worry about being formal....I much prefer being called Kira....."

Misute hoovered next to Kuri looking at everyone gathered.

Zero looked at Tasia though and shook his head. "Tasia don't worry about the 'Sir's' makes me sound old." He said without swearing mostly because Kira pinched him when he went to and looked down at him. Before looking back at them.

Tasia smiled and leaned into Sora's kiss. She was so happy to see him. She looked around at all the new(ish) people she had already met and smiled brighter. It looks like one big happy family. And i have loads of questions but I think they can wait. It looked like you guys were discussing something important. She remembered Kuri said something about problems with the warehouse and turned to Sora looking more concerned now.

Sora nodded and frowned. Yeah that was a problem.

Kira smiled. "The dock owner will be calling me back shortly here Sora, once they do I'll have finished sorting this out."

Zero snorted. "I could solve this whole mess in less then a second."

Kira smacked his arm lightly. "Zero be nice."

"I am...I never said I was gonna kill the asshole." Zero said looking at Kira who rolled his eyes.

Sora looked at Tasia. "I'm afraid so. The dock master mixed up our warehouse numbers during a sale of a empty one further down the pier and ours. He finalized the sale and now the man who it was sold to doesn't want to move further down insisting we leave by tomorrow morning." He sighed. "It wouldn't be such a problem except......"

Kira looked at Sora. "Sora dear it might just be easier to bring everyone there so they can see it."

Sora nodded. "We're not far from it now. Come on...besides I'm sure the others will be happy to meet you. They've been nipping at me to bring you there if not for trying to keep us in a home I would have been there sooner." Sora said nodding and turning.

Kira smiled. "Sora I'm going to go back to the castle with Zero, I'm going to see if Fuu found my contract with the dock owner."

Sora nodded. "Thank you." He said as Kira and Zero said there goodbyes and began walking away. He linked hands with Tasia and smiled at her before looking at Kuri and Misute.

"Come on. Saru left a while ago but Kim is whining about wanting to talk a bit more with Misute before you both have to go home."

Kuri nodded as Sora began walking with Tasia. They followed.

She walked with Sora. She let her hand move out and slide into his lacing their fingers together if he didn't pull away. She was happy. She had already made 2 new friends,has the potential to meet more friends, and gets the best thing of all which is spending time with Sora. She could see herself falling inlove with this man if her young little heart wasn't careful. She felt good being accepted for who and what she was. And for that she couldn't stop smiling.

Sora let his fingers lace with hers as they walked along from here the distance to the warehouse was short. He lead them to the door to the warehouse and in. Upon entering it was like stepping into another world inside. The entire place was full of tree's and gardens waterfalls....it was a wild life Utopia. A 5 foot tall boy rushed at them with chestnut brown hair. Sora moved swinging Tasia into Kuri who caught her before facing him again in moments before being knocked over and slammed into the ground sliding back into the wall.

"KIM! Your heavy GET OFF!" Sora protested as the smaller boy sat on him.

"Say Sora........." He whined. "Are we really gonna lose our home...."


Another with blonde hair and blue eyes walked up holding a cigarette and kicked the kid off of Sora following him and slamming his foot into his head. "YOU IDIOT aren't I always telling you to think before you do something huh? You could have hurt Sora then what?"

"Ah come on Shou I wasn't going hurt him!" Kim whined.

Kagirinai walked up his long purple hair flowing behind him as he held out his hand to Sora. "I see you've brought guests home." He said lowly. Sora nodded taking his hand and accepting the help up as Shou and Kim got into a scuffle. Kagi sighed as he looked over.

"Please forgive them....I'm afraid they've been a bit tense since this all started. This place....is not just a safe haven.....it is were our kin is buried......" Kagi looked back at the gardens then at them. "I know Kuri and we met Misute earlier. Is it safe to say you are Tasia?" He asked her as he released Sora and held out his hand to shake hers and say hello. "Shou, Kim cease and behave your antics are not appropriate before Sora's guests."

They both froze as Kagi looked over at them and nodded. Standing up right.

Tasia sort of slipped in shock of being swung sideways, being caught by Kuri. As she stood upright she took everything in. All the plant life. All the wonderment. The magic help within the life that radiated in these walls. She, admittedly, was not even paying attention to the scuffle. She was in aww of the beauty that surrounded her. She touched a nearby vine, petting it and smiling. She ran her finger over a budding blossom and it immediately opened as if to say hello. She giggled a bit before catching a glimpse of the man coming towards her and her attention moved back to him catching the last bit of what he was saying. She blushed a bit. Hi. Yes. I am Tasia. Sorry about that. Your home is beautiful. I can understand why you wouldn't want to lose it. Though the way Kira and Zero talked, everything should be worked out by the end of the day.. If not though. She looked around the wonderful place and smiled a bit mischievously. I might be able to help. Although, perhaps a little less violently than Sir Zero might prefer.
