He posses great spiritual powers but it's his ability to heal and cleanse that make him so very revered. Although if he had his way he'd rather be treated like a normal person not a human prince or high priest.
Backstory:For generations his families blood line have been serving the people of El-estoria as both there ruling family and the royal family that governs over everything but because of that he has not lived the life of some spoiled pampered prince. There people are a bit back watered no one but the royal bloodline can rule there lands because it is believed that if a none royal from the Shugo line takes the throne the island will fall to great disaster. Since the time he turned sixteen it has been his duty to take his elder brothers place for the rituals in which they drink 'holy water' with a drop of his blood in the glass as it is believed that the blood of the royals although human will protect them and keep them safe.
Yudaina doesn't overly believe it but he can not find a way to argue with age old traditions and not have the islanders acting like he has sentenced them to death. And yet those very things keep him single for they believe only one of certain virtues can and will be able to marry him without tainting his 'pure' bloodline.
The island for the first time in centuries has opened itself up to the outside world again and sent there young Crown Prince out to learn and see the world.
