Morning Emotions and Mentions

Vech turned over in her sleep, then woke up, she had slept lightly keeping herself in a light sleep to watch over the den. Turning over to look at Strek she sighed, he was becoming very important to her. She would potentially leave her own pack for him if it absolutely came down to it. Yes her pack means the world to her but it seems like most of the pack that has no blood relation to her just want to use her for her status.

She sighs again and got up to check on Sterk. He was breathing evenly and peacefully. "How have you become so important to me? I wish you could see just how much" She whispered and got to work making breakfast. Pulling together a rabbit stew she set out more water to thaw as well. She occasionally threw a small smile in his direction.

He had been dreaming, images of what looked a little like Vech smiling at him and calling his name happily as she stood at the top of a grassy hill in the evening sunlight. She looked so beautiful and happy as she would motion for him to finish the climb to the top and called his name. Images of the beautiful scenery of flowery fields and a crystal blue stream as he sat atop the hill with the female as he watched young pups splash and play in the stream. The warmth of the sun spilling across the field and warmed his fur.

When the scent of rabbit hit his nose though, he stirred and the happy images began to fade. Sterk then felt the stiffness and pain from his wounds and he opened his eyes, blinking a few times to clear his sleep clouded vision. His eyes were still a bit sore, but overall his vision had returned. He sat up gingerly, making sure he didn't open any of his now closed wounds. He turned his attention to the back of a busy Vech and couldn't help but smile admiringly at her. "You're awfully busy this morning..." he said lowly through a sleep muddled voice. His hair was messy and he was still naked as the day he was born, but he couldn't care less.

Vech turned as she saw him set up slowly nothing seemed to be re-opening but he still seemed very sore, but at least the sleep had done him a lot of good. "Yeah, just making breakfast, I think we both need some food. Did you sleep okay?" She blushed after the sentence came out, she took a lot of liberty saying stuff like that, as if they were together. He didn't seem very interested, though she wasn't exactly flirting. "So how are your injuries?" She scooted a bit closer and handed him a bowl of stew she hadn't bothered covering up, she wasn't worried about it since they were basically naked as wolves, though she was nervous though since she was in front of Sterk. Putting the thoughts out her mind she focused on her food and listening to Sterk.

Sterk smiled at her as she asked so kindly about how he had slept and gently instructed that they both needed to eat something. "Since I hadn't slept for about three days when you found me, I slept pretty soundly," he answered her warmly as he sat up in the bed, blankets and furs draped over his lower half keeping them from being exposed as he remained comfortably curled up in the bed. "I had a really interesting dream though..." he said as he took the offered bowl of stew and sat it gently between his legs to keep it from spilling on the bed if he moved and to let it cool enough to eat.

When she asked about his injuries, he looked down at the bowl of steaming stew and answered her, "I'm pretty sore, but things are closed up. I'd say that if I don't move too quickly or too often I'll heal pretty quickly. However, I'm not too sure about my left wrist just yet."

Vech frowned and moved to feel his wrist and the minerals in his bones. They felt cracked and unstable like it had been broken before. Gently she sent some of her own power through his bones, adding more minerals and making them stronger and mending the bone, it wasn't a full break so this should straighten it out. It wasn't healing magic per-say, but it did the job like it. The only downside is that it left the user and recipient feeling.. fuzzy. It depends on the user and person, it left Vech feeling aroused but she does well to hide it herself.

"How does that feel? It can give you a funny feeling but it should pass quickly... I... never mind" She blushes and gently lets go of his wrist. She had almost told him she had strong feelings for him, possibly stronger than what she originally thought. This was getting out of hand, especially with the arousal going through her stronger than she remembered it being last time. She tamped down on it and went back to her food. scooting a bit closer though. It was still cold and storming out after all.

He felt a blush creep into his cheeks when Vech took hold of his hand and applied her power to his broken arm. It wasn't an uncomfortable warming sensation, but he realized quickly that his being close was going to be a bit troubling perhaps. He felt warmer than he had been before and felt the twitch of an awakening arousal. He shifted, closing his legs a little as he lifted the half empty bowl onto his crossed legs. He cleared his throat as he looked at her and answered her question as honestly as possible, "It doesn't hurt anymore and I have more movement back in it, so I think It'll be all right."

"Good, I think we'll be here for a little while longer, though, it's practically a whiteout out there. I... Can I ask you a question? Do you fancy anybody, I know you said no one really liked you but do you have a crush? I know it's a bit personal but I'm kinda curious." She smiled and tilted her head though her heart was racing, she hoped he couldn't hear it but she had to know this before she went about anything with him. She would either have a chance or she would need to try a bit harder... or a worse case scenario she would have to move on. Leaning back and covering her cold feet with a fur she looked at him and waited for a response. She had finished her food and was now just wanting to chat and maybe find out some things about him she hadn't known before.

He had just finished eating when Vech asked him if he had anyone he was interested in. He paused for a minute and looked up from setting his bowl down on the floor beside the bed. "Uh...I..." he said, not really answering her at first. He was so surprised that he didn't even really know how to answer her. As he sat back up fully on the bed to look at her once more, he cleared his throat and tried to answer her once more. "From my previous pack? No. I don't have anyone from there that I'm interested in. Most of those females wouldn't give me the time of day. As far as a crush goes...I'm not sure if it's a crush or not, but I guess I...really kind of like you..." he answered. He had been raised to be open and honest to those he was close to, and so even though he was nervous and embarrassed, he answered Vech in the same way.

Vech blinked and smiled genuinely relieved and there was no small amount of blush. "Good, I can't say I'm not excited to hear that," she turned and hugged him, "I have taken quite a liking to you as well. I have liked you for a while now, I have trouble concentrating sometimes because my thoughts drift to you." She let go and smiled at him, then turned to get some of the cold water from the now liquid bucket. She was still hotter than she should be but it would pass.

"How long have you known? I know I haven't been very obvious about it, you hadn't been obvious yourself." She smiled after her drink and offered him some as well. The snow had let up enough to see that it was night once again, but she didn't feel tired at all, not with this revelation. She curled her body to lay next to Sterks and look out at the white world.

When she hugged Sterk, he blushed and returned the hug gently. He was strong and didn't want to risk hurting her in her human form, as it was much daintier than her wolf form. "I'm really glad to hear that answer from you. It makes things a lot less awkward with you, and much easier to be more open with you," he told her earnestly. He was really a sweet, but awkward guy beneath all of his aloof attitude. At her question of when he realized he liked her, he looked down at his hands that were now clasped together in his lap. "I guess I wasn't very certain of myself until today. In all honesty, my dream was probably what made me realize things the most," he answered her as he looked up from his hands to look her in the eyes. They were beautiful and entrancing. If he stared into them for too long, he was sure he'd get lost and wasn't sure if he'd ever be able to return.

She faced him and reached for his hand while he spoke. Dreams were often a sign of things that are to come, she smiled and held his hand lightly. "What kind of dream were you having?" raising up to sit straight she caught his eyes. They were breathtaking and dark with emotions, her heart sped up and her mouth became dry. No one had looked at her like that like he could stare through her very soul."S-sterk?" Vech squirmed still hot but not daring to breath.

He lowered his gaze from hers, he didn't want to make her uncomfortable. "While I was dreaming, I found myself climbing a large hill. When I was half way to the top, I saw a figure come into view. It was a female who was calling my name and encouraging me to keep climbing to the top. When I got closer the female looked hauntingly similar to you, only much happier and elegant. She was beaming with laughter as I came to rest beside her. As I sat beside her, I realized the hill I had climbed overlooked a valley with a field full of wild flowers and a stream. In this field, beautiful pups were laughing and playing, splashing around in the water of the stream. I remember feeling so very at home and proud of those pups...." he explained as he glanced up at Vech's face once more before he looked down at his hands. "I suppose the reason I was so proud of those pups was because they were my own..."

Vech's heart fluttered and she brought his hand up to hold up against her mouth and hold it there. "That sounds wonderful, dreams are important, they can mean more than you think... I hope that, maybe someday, that could be us. I would really like that. Could you do something for me, Sterk?" She shifted and looked directly into his eyes. "Would you kiss me?" She blushed heavily and held his hand close to her heart. Her skin was still heated though it should have cooled down long ago, she sat patiently. Vech hoped she wasn't being too forward or fast, but she needed to know and feel. Vech put some dark hair behind her ear and licked her parched lips, nervous and excited, like a young pup all over again. Though she has never been with a man, she hoped he would be the one.

Sterk looked at her as she put her mouth to his hand and felt another twitch. "I've heard the elders talking about how a dream about yourself and someone else is supposed to be a foretelling of things that are going to be in the future. Some of them aren't believable at all. This one though...I'm not so sure it isn't possible," he said as he watched her move. The way she smelled, the way she looked. It was enough to give him chills. He really needed to calm down. Her question though, caught him by surprise and he looked at her in obvious shock. "I-is that something you really want me to do?" he asked. The surprise really wasn't from the question itself, but rather from the forwardness of it. It wasn't something he himself was used to when it came to women. While it was true that he wasn't an innocent pup, he was also very morally bound when it came to women. He needed to be absolutely certain this time. The last time he had believed it was certain, he found out through a rather violent means that her father didn't support their relationship.

She smiled and nodded, she had thought about this for some time now. His smile, honor, and kindness had won her over. His expression showed surprise and excitement as well as some nervousness. Vech had always been a little too straightforward for most people to call her manners girly or overly feminine but that was fine by her standards, she would rather be honest with others and herself. Vech scooted forward and brought all their hands together. "This is something I am very sure I have wanted for a while now, that and to see you smile and laugh. I can't help the hope that I feel, how much happier you have made me in such a short amount of time is astounding."

Vech had never been one to care about how others felt though her parents wouldn't mind, they would be happy she found someone, the rest of the pack would take some time to cool down. They would live, this part of her life she has control over, she can love who she will love. Vech Smiled "Some dreams only come true if you work towards them, some you must strive for." Vech reached up and touched his cheek, he was so gentle with her, she smiled and nodded again and looked into his eyes that are like pools holding all of his emotions in that moment. "Please, Sterk?"

His heart fluttered a little when Vech told him that she was certain that this was what she wanted, that she had been wanting it for a while now. How could he say no to such an honest answer? There was just no way that he could. "My smile? What an odd thing to want from me..." he commented, chuckling lightly at such a innocent desire. He really hadn't been one to smile much in the past. Part of that reason was the oppressive environment that he grew up in, the other half was simply because he had little to no reason to smile.

He leaned in closer to her, the furs and blankets slipping off his hips a little when he did. "If this is what you want from me, who am I to tell you no?" he said as he brought his hands up to gently grasp Vech's face in his warm, calloused hands. He smiled warmly and genuinely at her before he leaned in and kissed her chastely on the lips. Heated passion would no doubt scare her.

Stars seemed to whiz by and the earth faded from feeling, all there was was Strek. Her breath fled from her and she felt as if she were flying. Vech snaked her arms around his neck and put a little more pressure on him to kiss back, still gentle but there. Sighing as the kiss ended and following his face for a second still wanting him connected with her, she brought him back to press their foreheads together.

"That was amazing... I've never felt like that with a kiss..." Placing her hands on his heart and his upon hers, she sat quietly for a moment and felt his heart race with her own. She moved to look him in the eye again and smiled "Lay with me, we can look at the stars from here and still be warm?" She moved for him to decline or accept and lay down the furs sinking just below her belly button while she waited for him to scoot under them.

He felt his breath catch and the world stop turning, if for only a mere moment. The kiss was something he had only felt once before, but he knew in that moment that this was where he wanted to be, and so when Vech asked if he would lay with her and look at the stars, he nodded and moved to join her under that furs. His problem had subsided at last so it was safe to move around. The fact that he was just as naked as she was became a forgotten memory as he moved in closer to her to keep warm. "When it comes to that feeling, a feeling I could only describe as pure bliss, I've only felt it once before. It was a long time ago though. I was young, in my teens to be exact, and in love. Unfortunately for the both of us, I found out through an aggressive attack from her father that he didn't support our relationship and so we parted ways," he said lowly. While it wasn't really something Vech probably wanted to hear, that female was long gone and a distant memory for him. He grew out of his teen years and fell out of love with his past as he aged.

Vech snuggled into Sterk's side and sighed in warmth and content. "I would call it perfection, I think. Again, I've never felt that from a kiss..." She wrapped her arms around his chest and looked up at Canis major and minor, the constellations were always so bright out here away from the human's light pollution. She looked at Sterk as he recounted his story about the girl's father which made her chuckle a bit.

"My parents would be happy if I found someone and they both like you. The rest of the pack likes you as well, though there are a few in every group but they will get over it. This is one thing no one else has control over, I will love who I love. Or those who disagree can go sniff a skunk, either way, I'm good." She laughed a bit as she scrunched her nose up, she had the misfortune to be sprayed as a pup and that was the single most disgusting thing she had ever smelled.
